Food Writing

After earning an English degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Melissa began her journalism career in daily newspapers and fashion trade magazines. In 2011, she graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York City and joined the food editorial team at Family Circle. Most recently, she led the food content of Rachael Ray In Season. Her work has been featured in The Kitchn, Real Simple, and Allrecipes, among other print and digital publications.
